How We Are Different

Each child at our school is encouraged to develop educationally, socially and spiritually. Our school’s core business is to help the students educationally. To be successful, we need assistance from parents both in the classroom and in the home. Without the input of parents we couldn’t achieve the high standards that are prevalent at our school.

The social development of each child is a shared responsibility between home and school. The parents have this responsibility when the child is at home and the school is responsible whenever the child is at school. To be successful, the school and home must work closely together sharing common expectations.

The spiritual development of each child is the responsibility of the child’s parents. As a school we are able to assist, but this is not an area we wish parents to abdicate to us. We believe that this is a most important area and at all times we endeavour to support parents in this vital role.

We believe that every child has the potential to excel. It could be in a curriculum area such as mathematics, language (spoken or written) or science. It might be in a creative pursuit such as art, music, drama or dance. It could be an ability in sporting activities or for others it might be leadership ability or a desire to serve others.

As a school we desire to provide opportunities for all the children to develop in the areas that God has gifted them. With God’s help, we believe that children can realize the potential that has been placed in them.
