Science Fun!

Lots of our learning in science uses everyday household things – for example the Year 8s and 9s have been using detergents to trap gases. The volcanic explosions of foam (we call it elephant’s toothpaste) are actually oxygen bubbles, whereas the foam in the Year 9 class was formed from Dry Ice rapidly turning into Carbon Dioxide gas. These experiments help to build our understanding of matter.
